Wedding Videographer in Stockholm – Wedding Films and Highlight Reels Throughout Sweden

A bride and groom walk hand in hand through a golden cornfield during a sunset photo shoot

Hiring a wedding videographer is about more than just getting a video. It’s about preserving the voices, the laughter, the pre-ceremony jitters, and the energy on the dance floor—so you can relive your wedding day, year after year.

I work as a wedding videographer based in Stockholm, with assignments throughout Sweden. For more than ten years, I have documented over 100 weddings at manor houses, castles, and in rural settings. My work has garnered international recognition, and I am now one of Sweden’s most sought-after wedding videographers.

My style combines a documentary-style presence with a cinematic feel. I focus on authentic moments, professional audio recording, and a carefully crafted narrative that makes the film feel vibrant and timeless—whether you choose a highlight reel or a full-length wedding film.

On this page, you can learn more about how I work, what’s included in my video packages, and how your wedding day can be turned into a cohesive story in moving images.

SELECTED WEDDING VIDEOS

Here are two examples of what a wedding film might look like in practice. Different settings, different paces, and different styles—but the same sense of presence, structure, and overall feel.

Wedding video at a manor house – Marhall Estate

A full-day documentary set in a rural setting, featuring drone footage, a clear narrative structure, and a focus on the speeches, the sounds of the ceremony, and the energy of the evening.

“We are incredibly happy with our wedding video and the drone footage. Throughout the day, David managed to capture all the important moments without getting in the way. Communication before, during, and after the event was clear and professional. The audio and video quality of the ceremony and speeches were top-notch. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

— Anna & David, Marhall Estate, Skåne

Wedding video in an urban setting – Eric Ericson Hall, Stockholm

A more urban and architectural setting where light, space, and movement become part of the story. The film combines a documentary-style immediacy with a cinematic feel.

“If you’re looking for a videographer who captures natural moments and creates authentic, professional videos, David is the right person. The results exceeded our expectations. We especially appreciated his flexibility regarding the setup and different video lengths.”

— Sally & Robel, Eric Ericsonhallen, Stockholm

YOUR WEDDING VIDEO IS TAILORED TO YOUR DAY

HOW I WORK ON WEDDING VIDEOS

Creating a wedding film is about more than just documenting what happens. It’s about understanding the rhythm of the day, reading the situation, and crafting a story that feels authentic when you watch it again.

Documentary presence throughout the day

On your wedding day, I work discreetly and methodically. I move quietly in the background and capture what happens naturally—glances, gestures, laughter, and the little details that often go unnoticed in the moment.

I avoid rearranging scenes or interrupting the flow. Instead, I capture the day exactly as it is experienced.

Professional audio recording and multiple cameras

Sound is crucial in a wedding film. The voices during the ceremony, the vows, the speeches, and the guests’ reactions are what give the film its depth.

I use professional audio equipment and work with multiple cameras during key moments such as the wedding ceremony and speeches. This provides both peace of mind and the ability to edit the film with variety and precision.

A HIGHLIGHT VIDEO OR A FULL-LENGTH WEDDING FILM?

When you book a wedding video, there are different formats to choose from. This affects both how the story is structured and how you’ll experience the video over time.

Highlights video (4–8 minutes)

A highlight video is a condensed, cinematic summary of the wedding day. It’s crafted with a focus on emotion, pacing, and the most memorable moments.

Here, speeches, promises, and the atmosphere are woven together with music and visual clips from throughout the day. The result is a dynamic film that’s easy to share with family and friends and captures the energy of your day in a more compact format.

A highlight reel is perfect for you if:

• Wants a short, powerful, and emotionally impactful film
• Prioritizes pacing and visual coherence
• Wants to be able to easily share the film digitally

Longer wedding video (20–40 minutes)

A longer wedding video allows more room to capture the big picture. Here, the ceremony, the speeches, and the key moments unfold at a more leisurely pace.

The film is structured with a clear narrative flow, allowing both the big and small moments to shine. This results in a more complete record of your wedding day, where you can follow the events from start to finish.

This format is particularly well-suited for full-day weddings at country estates, castles, and venues where many key events take place throughout the day.

The choice between a highlight reel and a full-length wedding film comes down mainly to how you want to relive the day. During the planning process, we’ll discuss which format works best based on the scale and pace of your wedding, as well as your preferences.

SEE EXAMPLES OF WEDDING VIDEOS I'VE CREATED

Here you can see examples of wedding videos created by David Sahlberg, from weddings in Stockholm and other locations in Sweden.

The videos below feature highlights and full-length wedding films from a variety of occasions and settings. They offer a clear sense of my style and storytelling, and show what a finished wedding film can look like when I capture the atmosphere, the people, and the surroundings.

Manor House Wedding – Gryts Säteri

A wedding film shot at Gryts Säteri, where nature, open landscapes, and the manor house setting create a warm and intimate atmosphere. In this kind of setting, I let the pace and the light guide the story, focusing on the moment, the relationships, and the energy that builds from the ceremony to the reception.

Archipelago Wedding – Idöborg, Stockholm

A wedding film from Idöborg in the Stockholm archipelago, where the sea, light, and sweeping views become part of the story. In this archipelago setting, I work with natural light, movement, and atmosphere to create a wedding film that feels vibrant, intimate, and timeless.

Country Wedding – Nygårds Manor, Gotland

A wedding film shot at Nygårds Herrgård on Gotland, focusing on nature, open spaces, and intimate moments. Set in a rural setting, the film centers on the tranquility of the landscape, the sense of presence during the ceremony, and the energy that builds throughout the evening.

Castle Wedding – Rånäs Castle

A wedding film from Rånäs Castle in Stockholm, where grand ballrooms, long tree-lined avenues, and historic architecture set the stage for the day. At castle weddings, I work with movement, light, and the grandeur of the setting to create a film that feels both majestic and personal, with the details tying the whole experience together.

International Wedding Film – Eric Ericson Hall, Stockholm

A wedding film shot at Eric Ericsonhallen in Stockholm, featuring an international flair and cultural traditions that define the day. In this type of wedding, the focus is on symbolism, music, speeches, and dancing, where every moment is given the space to become part of a larger story told through moving images.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER IN SWEDEN

When choosing a wedding videographer, it’s important to look at more than just a highlight reel. See how entire ceremonies, speeches, and longer sequences are captured. This shows how reliable the videographer is throughout the entire day, not just in the most polished clips.

Also pay attention to how the audio is handled. A compelling wedding video relies just as much on voices, atmosphere, and ambient sounds as it does on visuals. Professional audio recording makes a big difference, especially in churches, at outdoor ceremonies, or in larger venues.

We recommend choosing a videographer who has experience with various types of weddings in Sweden, from civil ceremonies to weddings at country estates, churches, and banquet halls. Their experience ensures that everything runs smoothly and that important moments are captured without any stress.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Contact

Populära datum bokas tidigt, särskilt under sommaren.

2. Planning & Booking

Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule a call to discuss the day, the venue, the ceremony, and the reception. I’ll share my insights on timing, lighting, and how we create a film with a clear narrative flow. Once the plan is finalized, I’ll send you a contract, and a 20% deposit will secure your date.

3. Before the wedding

One to two months before the wedding, we’ll go over the details. We’ll review the schedule, key guests, speeches, surprises, and anything else that holds special meaning for you. The goal is for me to be fully familiar with the day’s events, so that the filming can proceed smoothly and in an organized manner.

4. Date and Delivery

On the wedding day, I work discreetly yet attentively. My focus is on the emotions, the voices, and the moments that give the film its depth. After the wedding, the footage is edited into a cohesive narrative. Delivery typically takes 2–8 weeks, depending on the season and the length of the film.

Wedding Videographer in Stockholm – Available Throughout Sweden

I work as a wedding videographer based in Stockholm and document weddings throughout the country. A large portion of my assignments take place in the Stockholm area—from archipelago weddings and manor houses to castles and rural settings—while I also regularly travel to weddings in other parts of Sweden.

I film weddings on Gotland, in Skåne, Gothenburg, Västerås, Örebro, and many other locations where the surroundings become a natural part of the story. Every location has its own light, rhythm, and character, and the film is tailored to the unique conditions of your specific venue.

For couples planning a destination wedding outside of Sweden, I work in the same way, focusing on creating a cohesive film where the location, the people, and the atmosphere come together. The approach is tailored to your travel plans, schedule, and the scope of the event, ensuring that the documentation runs smoothly even for weddings that span several days.

Whether your wedding takes place in Stockholm or elsewhere in Sweden, the film can be crafted with the same sense of presence, structure, and storytelling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY

  • Photos capture moments. Video captures the voices, the laughter, the pre-wedding jitters, and the energy on the dance floor. Many people who book a videographer say afterward that it’s the most powerful way to relive the day.

  • My approach is documentary and unobtrusive. I give minimal direction and let the day unfold naturally. Most people say afterward that they barely noticed the camera.

  • I move calmly and methodically in the background. During key moments, I use multiple cameras to minimize movement and disruption. The goal is for you to be fully present in the moment, not distracted by the production.

  • Yes. A wedding film is made up of both big moments and small details—glances, hands that touch, the reactions of parents and friends. It’s the combination of these elements that creates depth.

  • I use professional audio equipment and multiple recording sources during weddings and speeches. This ensures clear audio and reliable backup.

  • It depends on how you want to experience the day. A 5–12-minute highlight reel provides an emotional summary. A longer film, lasting 20–60 minutes, offers more context and includes more scenes. I’ll help you choose the format.

  • Yes. We’ll discuss the music selection and tone together. The film will be crafted to reflect your personalities and the atmosphere of the day.

  • The film is usually delivered within 2–8 weeks, depending on the season and the scope of the project. During peak season, it may take a little longer.

  • I always use backup equipment and multiple cameras during key moments. If I were to fall ill, I have an established network of professional videographers who can step in.

  • No, not beyond what has been agreed upon.

Travel expenses may apply for weddings outside the Stockholm area or for destination weddings. This is always specified in the quote and contract.
